Use cases

Inspection management

Schedule, conduct, and close site inspections with a structured digital workflow.

QEHS inspection module replaces paper checklists with configurable digital forms. Inspections are scheduled automatically, assigned to responsible persons, conducted on mobile, and closed with corrective actions routed to owners.

The problem

  • Paper inspection checklists are filed and never acted upon
  • No tracking of corrective actions raised during inspections
  • No way to compare inspection findings across sites or over time

How it works

A step-by-step walkthrough of this use case in QEHS.

  1. Schedule the inspection

Create a recurring inspection schedule by location, type (area walk, equipment check), and responsible inspector.

  2. Conduct on mobile

Inspector opens the assigned inspection on their phone, works through the checklist, adds photos and notes for non-conformances.

  3. Rate each item

Each item is rated conformant, minor non-conformance, major non-conformance, or N/A; comments are mandatory for non-conformances.

  4. Create corrective actions

Non-conformances auto-generate corrective actions assigned to the area owner with a default due date.

  5. Close and report

Once all actions are closed, the inspection record closes; completion rate and findings trend appear in the dashboard.
